Family and Teen Consultant
Rebuilding trust and enhancing meaningful lasting family bonds
Founder & Clinical Lead
Damon
Founder & Director, Teencamps-UK
Senior Family Behavioural Consultant & Psychotherapist. Damon is the Founder and Director of TeenCamps-UK, a private provider of exclusive one-to-one therapeutic residential support for teenagers and young adults in the UK and Spain.
With more than 26 years’ experience working with complex adolescent behaviour and high-conflict family systems, Damon leads a selective, therapist-led model designed for families requiring discretion, depth, and professional oversight.
Professional Focus
Damon’s work centres on:
Severe emotional and behavioural dysregulation
Breakdown in family authority and communication
Adolescents resistant to traditional therapy
High-risk or escalating behaviour requiring containment and structure
Situations where group programmes are clinically inappropriate
His approach is integrative and relational, combining therapeutic practice with firm structure, accountability, and real-world behavioural recalibration.
Clinical Philosophy
Damon does not subscribe to formulaic programmes or mass-delivery models.
Each residential is:
Designed around the individual
Delivered one-to-one only
Clinically informed and professionally governed
Adjusted continuously based on engagement and response
This model reflects Damon’s belief that complex behaviour cannot be addressed through generic systems, and that meaningful change requires direct human engagement, consistency, and professional judgement.
Professional Standing & Governance
Damon is:
✔ Professionally trained psychotherapist
✔ Enhanced DBS cleared
✔ Fully insured (PPS UK)
✔ Member of the Psychologists Protection Society
✔ Certified in Safeguarding & Child Protection
Teencamps-UK operates within a clear ethical framework, with risk assessment and suitability review forming part of every engagement.
Background & Perspective
Earlier in his career, Damon worked in high-pressure, real-world environments before retraining in psychotherapy. This combination gives him a rare capacity to engage adolescents who distrust authority, while maintaining firm professional boundaries.
This dual perspective — clinical and practical — underpins Teencamps-UK residential model and is frequently cited by families as a key reason for successful engagement.
Selectivity & Involvement
Damon remains directly involved in all residential planning and oversight.
Teencamps-UK accepts a limited number of families each year to maintain quality and depth of work.
