I work directly with families of young men aged 15–25 to address persistent conflict, challenging behaviour, breakdowns in communication and difficulties maintaining appropriate boundaries. This individually structured online intervention brings the family together to work towards greater understanding, accountability, clearer expectations and lasting change.
Damon Bachegalup is a family intervention consultant providing private online family intervention for families of young men aged 15–25. The intervention is designed for situations involving persistent family conflict, defiance, disengagement, communication difficulties or challenges with parental boundaries. This is not weekly therapy
Damon's private family interventions are not structured as a series of routine weekly therapy appointments.
They are intensive, time-limited behavioural interventions designed around the circumstances of the individual family.
During the intervention, Damon works directly with the young man and the wider family, examining the behavioural patterns, family dynamics, communication, boundaries, expectations and areas where previous approaches have failed to create lasting change.
The level of involvement is substantially different from purchasing an individual counselling or coaching session.
Each engagement is personally led by Damon and structured according to the complexity of the family situation.
Private Four-Week Family Intervention
A four-week, professionally led intervention for families requiring substantially more involvement than a conventional weekly appointment.
The precise structure is determined following the initial private consultation and suitability assessment.
WHEN INTERVENTION IS REQUIRED
Private online intervention is typically considered when:
conflict has become persistent or increasingly difficult to contain
parental boundaries are no longer effective
communication within the family has broken down
previous approaches have produced little or temporary change
parents no longer feel confident managing the situation alone
At this stage, further discussion without a clear strategy rarely changes the underlying dynamic.
